A new household furniture retailer is coming to Altoona.
DuBois-based Miller Property Home furnishings will open Nov. 19 in the previous Worth City Furniture building, 3010 Nice Valley Blvd.
Benefit Metropolis closed in March 2018, and in 2019, the building was procured by Jeff S. Extended Design.
Miller Dwelling Home furnishings was started in 1969 by Dorothy and Jesse Miller in Hudson, a compact village near Punxsutawney. These days the enterprise, which also has a place in the DuBois location, is owned by Pam Miller, the founders’ granddaughter.

“This is an option that presented by itself. When Wolf’s shut down, that gave us the prospect to glance at whether or not there is a need to have for a further retailer in the market place. There is a require,” Miller said.
